With the Fathers help we will move forward in our study of Isaiah today, let’s begin by asking Him to lead, guide, direct, touch, heal, in Yashua’s precious name, amen.
Last lesson we touched on the LORD’s Day and the millennium, today we will once again start at chapter two verse twelve, and reveal another layer of teaching from The Word. Remembering the subject, the LORD’s day, the object, God’s government. A lasting government, a government that serves the people, a government whose head is just, and righteous, and holy. Isa. 9:6,7
Isa 2:12 For the day of the LORD of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low:
Perhaps this verse will become clearer if one examines the word upon, translated from the original languages.
Upon
H5921
על
‛al
al
Properly the same as H5920 used as a preposition (in the singular or plural, often with prefix, or as conjugation with a particle following); above, over, upon, or against (yet always in this last relation with a downward aspect)
Against is a fairly strong word, but this is a serious matter, a matter requiring strong thoughts. God’s teaching during the millennium will be to discourage those who want to reinvent the wheel, those who know what is best for you, those who esteem themselves above the rest of us. The bible sets forth the laws, ordinances, and statutes, that comprise the rules of government in the coming age. These rules will be enforced when Christ sets on the throne as King of kings.
Isa 2:13 And upon all the cedars of Lebanon, that are high and lifted up, and upon all the oaks of Bashan,
The religious communities.
Isa 2:14 And upon all the high mountains, and upon all the hills that are lifted up,
Various national governments.
Isa 2:15 And upon every high tower, and upon every fenced wall,
Military dictatorships.
Isa 2:16 And upon all the ships of Tarshish, and upon all pleasant pictures.
The financial institutions.
Isa 2:17 And the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be made low: and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.
Just about everything men use to lord it over other men, to enslave them to their sense of what is right and wrong, all these are going to be put in their proper place. There will be one law, the LORD’s law, and it will prevail.
Isa 2:18 And the idols he shall utterly abolish.
False gods and empty, vain, useless worship will be cut off.
Isa 2:19 And they shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.
They, who is they?
Rev 6:15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;
Everybody who thinks they know best, everybody who has been deceived into false religion, all those who have followed the antichrist.
Rev 6:16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:
They want to hide from God, some out of fear, many out of abject shame, shame because they have been worshiping Satan as he sits in Jerusalem, claiming to be God. Isa. 14:13.
Rev 6:17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?
The called, and the chosen, they will be able to stand. Why? Because they have held to the teachings of God and not men, they have not twisted the word to their advantage but accepted God’s will.
God’s servants will be able to stand.
2Ch 29:10-11 Now it is in mine heart to make a covenant with the LORD God of Israel, that his fierce wrath may turn away from us. (11) My sons, be not now negligent: for the LORD hath chosen you to stand before him, to serve him, and that ye should minister unto him, and burn incense.
If you are serving our Father if you are trying to please Him, He isn’t mad at you, His wrath is not pointed at you.
Isa 2:20 In that day a man shall cast his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which they made each one for himself to worship, to the moles and to the bats;
But for those who have formed their own gods, for those who have followed men’s teachings, things will be a little tougher.
Isa 2:21 To go into the clefts of the rocks, and into the tops of the ragged rocks, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.
When Jesus comes back, it will be sudden and swift, and unexpected, why will it be unexpected, because the anti-Christ, the instead of Christ, will be setting on the throne in Jerusalem claiming to be Christ.
Rev 16:15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.
What shame? The shame of having been hoodwinked into believing an imposter.
Isa 2:22 Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of?
Who are you going to be led by, some being of GOD’s creating? Or The Creator Himself? The choice is yours to make, I hope you choose well.
I hope you have learned something today, that The Father has touched tour mind and shined a light in the darkness.
God Bless
